Not all websites are created equal

It is good to see more and more organizations promoting inclusivity in their marketing campaigns and product offerings, but many businesses have yet to consider their website's ability to be a tool for inclusivity. For most people, the ability to surf the web is taken for granted. Even the worst websites (those that look like they were built when the internet was invented and are still not mobile friendly) can be read by someone determined to pinch and zoom. I can't even imagine trying to visit one of those sites with a vision impairment.

How easy is it to surf the web for someone with impaired vision, hearing, or mobility?

A task that most take for granted, surfing the web, becomes a big challenge if the online community has not taken accessibility differences into web design consideration.

This is why Edtrinsic is proud to be an affiliate of UserWay, an organization dedicated to making the online world accessible to all. UserWay provides website accessibility tools and error reporting to help businesses ensure that their websites are accessible. We are working through our website accessibility updates to ensure that our site will become and remain accessible to all.

We recommend that all small businesses install the AI driven UserWay tool which provide advanced accessibility options (like a screen reader) and error reporting for website administrators. At a minimum, small businesses should install the free UserWay tool. The free version lacks the robust AI backend but does provide web visitors with some basic accessible viewing options.
